Personal Log

It's been two days since we left the belt and met with the TFA fleet. We're still on uneasy terms but the TFA seem to be holding up to the peace agreemant.
We arrived within visual contact of Jupiter a day and a half ago, recon has been out scouting since then. We have located the Imperial Alliance base of operations, right where intelligence suspected. They have renovated an old PTMC Orbital Gas Mine in high orbit, they call it the Eagle's Nest (fascist bastards!).
But things aren't too simple here. The IA has set up a blockade, and not just any blockade... a complete Armada!
Damn, where the hell did they get all those ships? Their front lines are full of cruisers and command says there are at least two Orion's.
A few of the recon team were lost to a mine field... the IA must have known we were coming. The crew seems a little jumpy so Peterson is holding off until the rest of the fleet arrives.

*****
Three days now. All of those ships must have been hiding under the sensor band width in Jupiter's atmosphere. It looks like they have more ships than whole goddamned GTA does in Sol. The IA have been stockpiling since day one. Why don't they get it? I mean, the declare war with us, and for what reason? They are afraid, that's all it is. They are afraid of change. Their attacks have set the SD back and may cost us our lives. Not just us in the fleet, but us as in the entire system.
It's time something is done. The crew have gotten over the nervousness and are ready to kick ass. Late yesterday evening the last of our fleet arrived, two more Orion's and three Leviathon's. We're still outnumbered (by far) but Peterson is confident in his plan. Recon has located the weak points in their blockade, and Black Thorn Alpha is breaking through there. I'm signed up to be on Alpha, a little different from support wing Gamma, but I'm up for it. The Admiral giving us a shot at flying the new Athena II's.
From what he's told us so far, the fleet is going to break up the tough spots in the blockade while Alpha and Beta break through the weak links. From there it's straight to their comm's relay. We cut them off then hit the Nest.
Marines from Luna Training Fields are doing the drop into the Nest, hopeing to keep the Orbital Mine intact.
Doesn't matter much to me. This war began four centuries ago, and it ends today.
