Fussion Cannon

As Fussion Drive testing produced in unfavorable results, development went to creating the Fussion Cannon. The Fussion Cannon is available only to ships outfitted with the Fission Drive engine or modified to carry Anti-Matter fuel sources.
Using a solid state ammunition, the Fussion Cannon fires high density bursts of Anti-Matter. The solid ammunition is of the same composition used for fuel in the Experimental Fussion Drives. The "fuel" is primed and compressed in a reactor chamber just behind the guns barrel and the fired upon reaching critical mass.
The fire rate is amazing but high energy use limits the Fussion Cannon to short bursts.
