Covert Operations Multi-Purpose Ship ![]()
Primarily a covert operations ship, the Eclipse has functional sensor blocking transmitters and can not be detected or targeted by hostiles. These transmitters also function to jam incoming and outgoing trasmissions from ships within a 10 kilometer radius. Aside technologicial stealth capabilities, the Eclipse has been coated with several layers of dark tinted heat absorbant paint. This paint does more than simply color the ship dark blue/black, it actually keeps a small quantity of light from escaping the hull, making the ship appear as not much more than a shadow. Weapons capability of the Eclipse allow for heavy firepower in somewhat limited varieties. The Eclipse can carry several primary weapons at once (one test flight loaded the eclipse with 8 Medium Grade Primaries!), however, more often than not half of the Primary bays hold advanced sensor equipment for recon. the Secondary Capabilities of the Eclipse rival that of most Terran bombers. Almost all Missiles and Bombs are available to the Eclipse, though, just as in the Primaries, Secondary bays also double as equipment storage. The crowning achievment of the Eclipse is the ability to carry and successfully deliver the Eclipse Anit-Matter bomb (from which the ship recieves it's name). |
