The Darkside Outpost was one of the first Arcadia Installations operating in Sol. Located on the dark side of Luna, Darkside was used to conduct experiments such as weapons testing outside of the public eye. As colonization began, specifically on Mars, the Darkside was used as a last refueling point for outgoing ships.
When SubSpace was discovered, Darkside was the location of experimental drive testings. The Hawking Drive was developed here. Since SubSpace expansion, Darkside has operated as an R&D Station, developing new weapons and engines.
When Delt-Serpentis collapsed, Darkside Outpost was the natural choice for research to be conducted. Hundreds of Scientists and Technicians are currently searching for a method of reopening the Jump Node.
Currently the GTD Immortal and a Rogue squadron of the best fighters in system have been assigned to gaurd the Installation.
