BLACK THORN SPECIAL OPS
Station: GTD Immortal
The Black Thorn Special Operations squadron was formed 4 years ago from the ramains of the 1st and 4th regiments of the StarCrusher military squadrons.
Location: Last known whereabouts: Shoreleave, Martian Drydock, Sol
Operational Status: Special Ops (Active)

Crew Numbers and Status: 24 Active Squad members
The 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 6th regiments of the StarCrushers (station: GTD Intrepid, GTD Falcon) were the first military units to engage in Declared War Actions against the Vasudans. Heated battles in the Betelguese systems left the StarCrushers decimated, however the remaining pilots were able to successfully complete mission operations.
These pilots were reassigned under Admiral Peterson aboard the GTD Taurus in Altair. The StarCrushers suffered more losses after further offensive engagments in Vasuda. Once again, the StarCrushers did emerge victorious, but there numbers had been reduced to just 48.
After an unsuccessful campaign in Vasuda, Admiral Peterson took command of the GTD Immortal. 12 of the original StarCrusher pilots stayed with Peterson to fill out the Immortal's pilot compliment. These 12 men proved to be a great asset to the GTA upholding a 96% successful mission record.
4 years ago the Immortal was aquired on retainer to the GTI for a covert ops mission back into Vasuda. The mission involved gathering information on Vasudan ships and the industrial output of shipyards. The Immortal not only gathered the necessarry information, but destroyed 3 Vasudan orbital shipyards. These actions earned the Immortal and her pilots high honors.
After the completion of this tour of duty, the Immortal's pilots reformed as Black Thorn Squadron. When Admiral Peterson gained full control of the GTD Immortal, Black Thorn Squadron became the signature of her might and superiority. As the Peterson replaced his crew new pilots joined the Black Thorn's. A few Vasudan's joined the squadron soon after the T/V Peace Treaty.
Several successful offensive and defensive operations against Shivan forces earned the Black Thorns 2 weeks shoreleave in Sol. Soon after they arrived in Sol the Lucifer incident destroyed the Delta-Serpentis Jump Node.
PILOTS
The "Four Horsemen." Each of these four pilots commands one of the four Black Thorn Regiments.
Each regiment is specialized for specific combat actions (recon, assault, etc.) and consist of 6 pilots each.
Each of the four regiments contains sub-wings of the standard Alpha, Beta, Gamma, etc.
